There is some missing stitching on the side material and the right latch has a broken spring, but overall, it functions well. The case is from the period but has no Bach logo so not sure of originality. An excellent playing trumpet that I have used occasionally for the past 8 years. The 37G indicates a gold brass bell, adding extra. The 37 is Bachs most popular bell for good reason, with enough focus and depth to fit into any kind of music.

This was probably a thin gold wash over the silver plating. There is some gold plating wear from use on the third slide near the ring, the second slide curve, and the first slide trigger.
The valves and slides all work great and this has a nice first slide trigger.

USA." The serial number 40975 dates this to about 1967 and it's also marked "ML" for the 0.458" bore size. The bell reads "Stradivarius Model 37 / Vincent Bach Corporation / Elkhart, Ind. The valves are as tight as new with great compression, so I have to assume that a valve refitting was done at some time.
The sellers couldn't tell me anything about this, but it appears to have been fully restored with new silver and gold plating. Gorgeous engraving all over including up the bell to the back curve. Why buy a plain, new Bach trumpet when you can have one with amazing engraving for less? I bought this a number of years ago from the estate of a collector and it was supposed to be his prized possession.
